Get your pie on with these I Love Pie buttons! In three mouth-watering varieties, Chocolate Mint, Berry Custard, and Raspberry Chocolate.
For the occasion, allow me to submit this carefully crafted homage:
Pie,
Pie,
I love pie!
(Why yes, I did just make up that poem. What's that? You think I should get the Pulitzer? Oh stop, you're too kind...)

To me, nothing goes better together than Salsa (dancing) and Mojitos (drinking), and since I love them both, buttons ensued. They are especially nice when paired together, since Mojitos have been clinically proven* to improve Salsa dancing skills. And Spanish language skills. Trust me, I'm an expert (un experto). But just in case your tongue fails you, wear these buttons and point to them as needed.
*The clinic in question may or may not be staffed by actual medical personnel, and may or may not be, a Salsa venue in San Francisco, called The Ramp.

Who loves cat videos? I do! This button is inspired by comedian Wyatt Cenac, who shares my love of cat videos, while not being so crazy about actual cats. (Check out Wyatt's special on Comedy Central to get the full scoop).
Now, before you cat-in-the-flesh-lovers start writing me angry emails, this button is for all of us, okay? And since I'm not going to get a cat myself, that's just one more cat for you! So, you're welcome.

My new favorite crush is comedian Wyatt Cenac. He's a writer and correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and I recently caught his stand up special on Comedy Central. There were so many hilarious bits, including his dislike of cats paired with a love for cat videos, why you should never go to Medieval Times, and of course, enSmurfment.

You might say I got a little carried away with the Guilty Pleasures theme at the latest San Francisco Mixtape Society gathering, "a quarterly event dedicated to the delicate art of the mixtape." At the peril of my street credibility, I will post my track listings here. Just remember, it was all in the name of art and music, and in should in no way be held against me.
The first compilation is a Vertical Sampling with one track (plus some bonus tv show themes) from each year, spanning 1970 through 2008. The second compilation, "Breaking Up is Hard to Do," had to be edited down from it's original version of two hours long! I traded in my mixes for three others, two of which ended with the same Backstreet Boys track. You can't get much more guilty than that.

Lovin' up the city of San Francisco in the Sunset Pet Supply Window display.
At night, the bridge lights up with tiny orange lights!

The display at Sunset Pet Supply this month is simple - Gratitude. I am so grateful that I get to play with a multitude of art supplies to create these windows. This time I used tempera paint, which smells like a Kindergarten classroom. (I immediately had a craving for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with the crusts cut off.)
If you are in San Francisco, check out the display at 2226 Taraval Street - mention that you are there to see the window and get 10% off your purchase.

October Button Club continues the Día de los Muertos theme, inspired by the skulls I painted for the Sunset Pet window display. These sugar-free skulls are just as sweet and sticky as the originals.

My inspiration for the new window display at Sunset Pet Supply comes from Día de los Muertos, (Day of the Dead), one of the prettiest uses of skull decor I have ever seen. (Not to mention, a really lovely way to celebrate and honor those who have left us).
