Bon Voyage – November Button Club

The Button Club Consulate has approved your visa! Where will you go? How about a jaunt to Florence to see David, Michelangelo’s marble masterpiece? November Button Club features some gently reused maps and a button image by guest artist Albert Campbell.

I recently came into a Swiftset Cub Rotary Printing Press, circa 1939. It includes a Printers Journal (look what joy printing can bring!), and with it, some helpful advice – “When tackling any Big Job for the first time, it is necessary to “think it out” before you actually start work.” Hmm. I thought I had it covered when I decided to print some colorful international phrases on this month’s edition, only to find the set was missing all of the letter ‘M.’ There went the plan to spell “Wilkommen,” but luckily this printer can think on her feet, and after a failed attempt to turn a ‘W’ upside down, I quickly substituted “Guten Appetit.” However, I would like the freedom to include ‘M’ in future missives, so if you have any extra Swiftset type lying around, let me know.
This month’s theme song is C’est Si Bon, sung by Dean Martin, because it really is so good. Bon Voyage mon amis!
